Your story starts here

You bring the spark; we back the journey

We are looking for ambitious graduates to join our January and September intakes each year, eager to take their first steps into the world of accounting. We want to know what makes your perspective unique and how you could exceed our expectation.

We recognise that today’s graduates could be the firm’s future leaders and we are determined to recruit the best people; game changers! Although we look for a high-level of academic success, we also want to hear from graduates who demonstrate their potential in other ways, even if you fall a little short of our entry criteria.

To be considered for a trainee role with Nyman Libson Paul, you’ll need:

• A 2:1 degree (or higher) in any subject.
• At least 120 UCAS points at A Level (excluding General Studies, AS Levels, and BTECs).
• GCSE English Language at grade 5 (or above).
• GCSE Maths at grade 6 (or above).
Please make sure your CV includes your GCSE and A Level grades, as we cannot consider applications without them.
All candidates are required to provide evidence of their eligibility to work in the U.K.
If your application is successful, you’ll first get an email invitation to complete a numerical reasoning test.

From there, you may be invited to an assessment day at our office. It’s a chance for us to get to know you better, and just as importantly, for you to see if we feel like the right fit for you.
Here’s what you can expect when you join us for your assessment day:
• A welcome to the firm from our Audit Partner, Hetal Mistry.
• The chance to chat with some of our current grads and hear about their experiences.
• A one-to-one interview with a manager. This is your opportunity to ask questions, share what drives you and show us who you are.
• A short presentation on a topic of your choice.
• A group exercise with fellow candidates, where we’ll be looking at how you collaborate, support others and work as part of a team.
We aim to give every applicant feedback within two weeks.
If you are successful, you will receive an offer. If you would like to talk it through before making a decision, we are always happy to answer questions and help with any concerns.

Building Your Future
Every training contract begins with a two-week induction programme designed to give you the skills and confidence to make an impact from day one.
While you are working towards your ACA qualification with ICAEW, you will have full financial support for your studies, along with the tools and guidance you need to succeed.
We are proud of our strong exam success rate and we are committed to helping you be part of that story.

People first, always

We believe in more than just a good place to work. We’re building a culture where people thrive together. Collaboration isn’t just a buzzword here, it’s how we operate. Your voice matters and so do the relationships we build with clients and each other. That’s why emotional intelligence is high on our list.

From your first day, you’ll be matched with a buddy (typically a first or second year trainee) and a mentor (usually a manager). They’ll help you settle in and stay supported throughout your training. Regular performance reviews help ensure you keep developing and stay on track both personally and professionally.

That support continues long after your training contract ends. We work closely with newly qualified team members to shape career paths that match their ambition and strengths.

And it’s not all work. From smaller socials to our infamous Summer and Winter parties, we make sure there are plenty of chances to connect and have fun.
